“I was involved in an automobile accident with a customer of progressive. The agent assigned to my case Rachele demonstrated zero empathy and made us feel like we unconvinced her. She is a terrible rep of your company and makes me never want to be a customer. She originally initiated denial and finally took responsibility against their driver who was sited for a hit and run against us. I asked for our car to be fixed and to pay me for income loss as a result of the accident, while we are in a pandemic and already dealing with that as I am a small business. She refused and told me she isn’t obligated per law to do anything for me.”

“I recently switched back to Progressive because I had them a few years prior and actually liked them. About 1-2 weeks ago my brother borrowed my car and someone ran a stop sign and hit my car. Well, my car is fully covered and the accident wasn’t my brothers fault so the claim process should be relatively painless, right ?? WRONG They wanted to know why my brother was driving my car. Fair enough i explained he just borrowed it. They wanted proof he didn’t live with me and wasn’t a daily driver. Fine. Sent proof of my brothers address. THEY WANTED TO KNOW WHY MY CAR WAS AT HIS PLACE IN OCTOBER !? WTF … Didn’t know I needed Progressives permission to visit places.CREEPY AF. Progressive also wanted to know why I had two cars? First of all, one was a gift from my job and second its none of your business.Is Progressive this hard up they dont want to pay claims to customers that pay their monthly policy FOR THIS REASON? The claim on my car is still pending. They’ll probably want to come to my home and check under the beds to make sure my brother isn’t there. I miss Geico and really made a bad decision switching back to Progressive. I’m not sure what happened in the past few years but they went from 5? to 1.”

“I cancelled my insurance after 10 years with Progressive 9/1/2020, yet they continued to deduct $ from my bank account ($314.65 to be exact) until November 2020 when I caught them. They acknowledged the mistake and said I would be refunded the money. It is now mid-February and I have not received the $314.65 this company took from me without permission.”
“Please cancel this complaint. After reviewing my bank records, I discovered that they electronically deposited the total amount in 5 transactions(?). I was told to expect a check and wasn’t looking for multiple electronic transactions. Weird.”

“I bought a car today but I did not purchase Progress Insurance.
“I’m writing in reply to your February 4 th letter. I’m sorry to hear that Ms. ***** ‘isn’t going to be our customer, but I completely understand that she had to go with an insurance policy that fits her needs. I hope we have the chance to work with her one day and enjoys her new car.
I reviewed Ms. ***** ‘policy, and I see that it was started on February 3 rd and canceled the same day. When instances like this occur, we have to wait for verification from the bank indicating that we received the initial payment. Sometimes it can take the bank a few weeks to verify this. I know that seems like a long time; however, we don’t have control over that. I have great news though! I was able to expedite the refund. We refunded the amount paid back to the credit card that was used. It should be available in a day or two.
